Harry Griffith was appointed Executive Director for SustainBlaine in April 2011 after retiring from a 25 year career at BP. Originally trained as a geologist, Mr. Griffith worked in a variety of project and commercial roles for BP, with direct experience in five countries. He has had senior leadership roles in emerging markets of Latin America, Russia, and China and led multi-million dollar start-up projects for retail service station network, gas field and pipeline transmission system development. He has also had direct accountability for a wide variety of business functions including engineering studies, contracting/procurement, project management, corporate finance, commercial negotiations, M&A, statutory accounting, and performance management.

Mr. Griffith is a resident of Sun Valley and involved with a number of local organizations such as the Ketchum Community Development Corporation and the Sun Valley Ski Educational Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Idaho National Laboratory’s Citizens Advisory Board, and is member of the Association of Independent Petroleum Negotiators and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Griffith received a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business.
