Volunteer or Contribute

I understand that as a volunteer for Sustain Blaine Inc. (SB), I accept certain responsibilities to serve and respect its best interests together with those of our community.   I confirm that:

• I have read the SB Action Plan, Mission and Vision statements, and I support them.
• I am interested in periodic volunteer assignments on SB projects and/or Programs as described in the SB Action Plan, and am willing to commit time and effort towards such assignments. I understand that this document is not in any way an employment contract.
• I understand that I may be working under the immediate supervision of a working group leader or the SB Executive Director and that I will diligently follow their instructions.
• I recognize that I am encouraged to identify and suggest means for delivering volunteer assignments in innovative ways consistent with SB’s Mission and Vision statement.
• As a SB volunteer, I will conduct myself in a manner which enhances the program and overall image of SB. I will support SB’s interests consistently and adhere to its policies, including the Conflict of Interest policy, and any other policies or procedures provided to me from time to time.
• I recognize that I will be periodically provided or obtain access to confidential information in relation to SB Projects and/or Programs I am working on. I agree that I will keep any such information confidential.
• I understand that I may not incur any SB expenses nor commit SB to any obligations without the express written consent of the SB Executive Director. I also understand that I am responsible for all expenses I may incur in performing volunteer assignments on SB Projects and/or Programs.
• I understand that teamwork, timeliness, collaboration, courtesy, listening and respect for others are essential traits in the successful undertaking of my volunteer work.
• I warrant that I am physically fit enough to undertake my volunteer assignments.
• I confirm that I have carefully read this document and have taken any appropriate professional advice deemed necessary before signing it below to indicate my concurrence with its provisions.
