SustainBlaine is one of a number of economic development agencies operating in the Sun Valley region. It is the only organization focused on county-wide issues and works directly with the Idaho Department of Commerce and other Idaho state agencies. The charts below have been designed to illustrate "who does what" in terms of economic development in the Sun Valley region.

Mission:

Our mission is to create a thriving, diversified, year-round economy for the Sun Valley Region.

Vision

  • Establish a platform for collaboration & cooperation between the cities of Bellevue, Carey, Hailey, Ketchum, Sun Valley and Blaine County (“the Sun Valley Region”).
  • Provide a forum for communication & interaction between public and private stakeholders in the Sun Valley Region.
  • Preserve and advance the Sun Valley Region’s economic vitality & the values of its citizens.
  • Promote and improve the economic & cultural diversity of the Sun Valley Region.
     

Strategic Approach

  • Initiate, plan, and implement projects & programs consistent with the vision and mission.
  • Deliver action plan priorities in a timely and effective fashion.
  • Provide general guidance and technical expertise on relevant economic & business issues.
  • Coordinate and integrate strategies & policies across divergent interest groups.
  • Secure funding & support for priority economic development initiatives.
